Samba TV Project 2

Term: Spring 2025

Faculty Advisor: Mike Izbicki

Project Description:

The growing diversity in TV show and movie genres has created a need for sophisticated planning tools that can analyze historical viewership data to enhance content strategy.
Streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and Paramount+ use genre-based algorithms to curate their content, but they often struggle to predict which genres will capture audience interest. By utilizing historical data, including show ratings, viewership trends, and demographic insights, planning tools can help predict how past viewership patterns, like the popularity of a sitcom on specific nights, may influence future programming decisions
