Project Description:

The goal of this project is to use Statcast ball tracking data to evaluate MLB first basemen in this particular skill.The goals of this project are (a) to develop a model for the probability that an average MLB first baseman will successfully catch a thrown ball, based on the trajectory of the ball and (b)to report on the skill demonstrated by each MLB first baseman relative to league average in this task.
