Ngage Live Chat (Round 5)
Term: Spring 2023Faculty Advisor: Sarah Cannon
Project Description:
The client, Ngage, provides chat functionality on law firm websites to convert visitors into leads, charging attorneys only for qualified leads. They want a student team to analyze their lead data for specific areas of practice (AOP) to determine the risk vs. reward of categorizing AOPs more granularly. The student team will need to use data analysis tools such as Excel, R, or Python, and work with a faculty advisor named Sarah Cannon.
The project requires the team to analyze the client’s lead data for specific areas of practice and their subcategories to determine the feasibility of categorizing AOPs more granularly. The team will need to investigate what percentage of each AOP falls within the more granular categories vs. “other,” determine the net revenue per lead for each subcategory, and determine how feasible it is to programmatically determine the subcategory. At the end of the project, the team is expected to deliver a comprehensive report of their findings, including conclusions and key data points relevant to the sales-call process. The student team is expected to have quantitative/computing and project management skills and the ability to distill data into user-friendly information.
